Modfox M5 – Swocs – rtr

The MODFOX M5 configuration is one of five main configurations for mobilizing the MODFOX MCP. It comprises two integrated components: a standard Intervention Control System (MCP) and a standard Tree Running Tool (CPI). With a pre-configured setup onshore or offshore of the MODFOX Control System and the XT, reducing risk and HSE exposure and streamlines the operation.

Both the MODFOX Subsea Control System and the Tree Running Tool (CPI) are field-proven, with extensive track records across the Norwegian and international continental shelves. The configuration is designed for operational optimization, delivering significant time savings, cost reductions, and lower CO₂ emissions.

POWER & OPERATION OPTIONS

The system offers two operational options:

    1. Simplified Umbilical Termination Head (UTH) with an open-water umbilical to power and communicate with two electric pumps (LP and HP).
    2. WROV HPU using separate electric and hydraulic Flying Leads.

In failure or power-loss scenarios, the open-water umbilical can be seamlessly overridden by the WROV Flying Leads supply, ensuring uninterrupted operations.

MODFOX M3 550M REEL SYSTEM

A new and smaller gross 500-meter length NORSOK Z-015 Reel unit for M3 setup of MODFOX modular control systems.

The Unit will be designed and built according to NORSOK Z-015 type U99 (Ex-proof equipment in frame).

Electrically driven reel with spooling device, equipped with a full set up for supply to the UTH via the 550-meter NEXANS
RS1206, 25.3mm umbilical.

Frame and covers delivered as carbon steel with a painted surface.
The unit is equipped with both direct handling and remote control of the winch system and supplied with 40-meter power
hookup cables and 5m earth cable with clamp.

The framework is designed, calculated, manufactured, tested, and documented according to Z-015 and certified to DNV-ST-E273 standard.
