[Bryne, Norway] The Norwegian subsea service provider, FOX Subsea, announces the development of their most advanced control system to date – the fully electric MODFOX Master Control Package (MCP) Generation 5. The MCP is the core component in FOX Subsea’s MODFOX modular subsea control system series, designed to enhance offshore operations. The new Generation 5 MCP replaces traditional hydraulics with electrically driven high- and low-pressure pumps, supporting the industry’s move toward cleaner, safer and more efficient offshore solutions. “The MODFOX Master Control Package is the foundation of our subsea control systems. With Generation 5, we are fully embracing the industry’s shift toward “all-electric” WROV systems, eliminating hydraulics power in favor of precision electric control.” Jan-Robert Lingjærde, CTO at FOX Subsea The MODFOX MCP is compatible with Work-Class ROV (WROVs) and supports remote operations through FOX Subsea’s Onshore Mission Control Room. The system has a modular design that allows for rapid re-configurations, offering more flexibility and faster turnaround in operations. Strengthening Our Competence

Read →

A brilliant day at the FOX Subsea office, where 15 Technicians and Field Specialists from FOX Subsea, Envirent and Envirex officially received their diploma after completing the “SPS Basic Introduction & Intervention Operations” course. At FOX Subsea and all companies in Envirex Group, we strive to always improve ourselves, strengthen our competence and truly understand our customers’ needs/challenges. As we continue to get involved on larger and more complex projects, there was a need to sharpen our competence regarding the infrastructure around our clients systems. Our Field Specialists are MODFOX system experts, but together with the SPS’s we wanted to further increase their competence by giving them a broader understanding of subsea systems, tooling and equipment in general, and the role our MODFOX system plays during intervention operations. The course consisted of 12 hours classroom theory and hands on field training. A big thank you to Baker Hughes, AkerBP and Vår Energi for their contribution during the course.

The Deeper the Oil Field, the Greater the Savings by Using the MODFOX System

Read →

SPS and intervention companies experience large cost savings by using the MODFOX system. FOX Subsea is currently experiencing strong growth in deliveries of MODFOX systems to South America, a part of the world where the oil fields are located at extreme depths compared to the North Sea. Strong demand for MODFOX systems in South America. The main reasons why there is so much activity in South America and Brazil now, is simply because this is where most new fields are developed. FOX Subsea is experiencing enormous growth in this market, and over 50% of all our jobs this year are connected to the fields in South America. All our systems are delivered to SPS and intervention companies. The majority of our deliveries to this region is towards Brazil, where four new MODFOX systems will be stationed this year. Strong correlation between depth in the field and cost savings One of the main reasons why the MODFOX system is so attractive in South America is due to the depth at which the fields are located, which can be as deep as 3,000 meters. Traditionally, very expensive and less HSE-friendly control systems are used, and these systems are placed on deck and connected…
