The latest configuration of the MODFOX MCP – M5 will ensure the efficient deployment of 47 standard vertical trees provided by OneSubsea.
In partnership with OneSubsea, FOX Subsea will deliver the newest configuration of the MODFOX MCP. The MODFOX – M5 showcases the versatile flexibility of the MODFOX systems, which can be tailored to client requests to optimize operational efficiency.
This configuration is one of a total of five main configurations in which MODFOX MCP can be mobilized. It consists of two assembled parts: a standard «intervention control system» and a standard Tree Running Tool. Both systems are field-proven, with extensive track records on both the Norwegian and international continental shelves. The purpose of the configuration is operational optimization – saving time, reducing costs, and lowering CO2 emissions.
This contract is one of the largest FOX Subsea has secured to date, with the project set to run for two years, beginning in the first quarter of 2025.
“This award also confirms that our strategy is working. Our strategy strengthens the market position of SPS contractors and provides operators with seamless service integration, with only one supplier to manage.”
Jan-Robert Lingjærde, CTO at FOX Subsea.
The work will be carried out on two Aker BP projects: Yggdrasil, the largest ongoing development project on the Norwegian shelf, and the Skarv Satellite Project, an ongoing expansion of the Skarv field. The collaboration between FOX Subsea, OneSubsea, and Aker BP has resulted in a strong, enduring partnership.
“At FOX Subsea, we’ve had the opportunity to be at the forefront alongside OneSubsea and Aker BP, both commercially and technically. We find both OneSubsea and Aker BP to be innovative companies interested in streamlining processes, which has made our collaboration so successful.”
Bjørn Tore Lien, CCO at FOX Subsea.
