MODFOX M6 – Flexible Vertical Deployment system

Vertical installation.
Compact design.
The MODFOX M6 system is designed for vertical deployment, as an optional adaptability for challenging offshore operations.
Utilizing a standard Modular Control Package (MCP), the M6 enables vertical deployment via a robust, compact frame – perfectly suited for operations where deployment requires a vertical approach, landing on an existing guidepost on the ocean floor.
Expandable Capacity
The system’s capacity can be enhanced with a modular backpack upgrade, fitted directly onto the same deployment frame. This allows for greater operational efficiency without the need for major hardware changes.
The Technical Data
- Standard guidepost interface
- MCP-compatible MODFOX configuration
- 10-ton pad eye for rig hook or winch lifting
- SUP standard interface
- Anti-rotation pin lock
- Vertical-to-horizontal lifting jig
- Extension feet for backpack support in horizontal mode
- ROV grabber bar
- Modular backpack for increased capacity

Why MODFOX M6?
- The M6 system features an integrated hollow funnel for smooth pre-run installation and deployment of a tensioned guidewire.
- The guidewire can be anchored to a standard guidepost, a guidepost extension in the active slot, or a dedicated guidepost on a clump weight/DMA near the well slot.
- A 10-ton pad eye on the frame allows for safe and secure lifting, whether offsetting the funnel or deploying via winch or drill pipe.
- A crossover connection enables the use of a wire forerunner when deploying with a drill pipe.
- The system is stored horizontally and only lifted vertically when ready for deployment—on deck or from a moonpool skid.
- A dedicated lifting jig facilitates the horizontal-to-vertical transition and is removed once the system is in position
